Movement-based mind-body practices for multiple sclerosis: An umbrella review
We conducted an umbrella review of systematic reviews on mind-body movement interventions for symptoms of multiple sclerosis, including dance, Pilates, qigong, tai chi, and yoga.
Of 104 relevant reviews, 28 were of higher quality or were published more recently. We found that mind-body movement interventions significantly improved balance, tai chi/qigong improved depression, and yoga improved pain compared to active control groups or usual care.
